SETUP

A Pair of Shift Dice - Boonta uses a pair of Shift Dice from the game Coruscant Shift. The Suit Dice is marked with 2x Circle, 2x Square and 2x Triangle symbols. The Scoring Dice is marked with the values -10, -5, 0, 5 and 10.

Player Track - It helps to have an aid to track player's scores.  This might be a notepad and paper, a tracking sheet, or some other scorekeeper.

Prize Pot - Any stakes for the game are added to the prize pot.

GAMEPLAY

1. THE STAKE

One player is chosen to go first. That player sets any stake for the game, which is added to the prize pot.

2. PLAYER THROW

In Boonta, each player rolls the Suit Die first, followed by the Scoring Dice:

The Suit Die determines which player's score is affected by the next throw.

Circle - Add or subtract from your score.

Square -  Choose an opponent to add or subtract from their score.

Triangle - Every player will add or subtract from their score.

The Scoring Die determines how much to add or subtract from the score of the targeted players: -10, -5, 0, 5, or 10.

WINNING THE GAME

The first player to reach a score of 50 on their throw wins.  They receive any stakes in the prize pot.

It is customary for every player in the game to take a turn as first player and set the stake.

VARIANTS
