Official Launch: Sabacc Cantina releases as the Holocard Cantina on the Apple Store!
First of all, thank you all so much for your continued support and for being a part of this community. It has been an incredible journey building this app over the past year and getting feedback, requests and awesome support and stories from all of you.
Now, the big news:
GAMES OF THE GALAXY
We ( @Rick, @Combat Jack and I) are excited to announce that we are officially moving the app to the newly created GAMES OF THE GALAXY LTD!
We have joined together to continue the development of the app and to bring you more awesome features, games and content in the future under the Games of the Galaxy name. We'll be rolling out some design updates to this server and socials, using the new name for the app - Holocard Cantina.
Due to a road block with Apple limiting individual developers to publish these types of apps (and Sabacc as a copyrighted name), moving the app to a company was a good way to get around this - leading to the next big news:
Holocard Cantina is now officially available on the App Store!!!
Go to the iOS App Store to download the latest version of the app! The Sabacc Cantina app will be available for a while to allow everyone to transition to the new app, but the new one is using the same database so all data and progress etc will be preserved. You only need to sign in with your account in the new app and you should be good to go! We have moved the Android app to GOTG as well, but are currently waiting for the initial review to be completed before publishing that one.
More info on that will come when it is ready. The app will continue to be completely free to use and the mission is the same: to provide a solid platform for playing Sabacc and other games in the Star Wars universe. The Ko-fi page has been migrated to the new company, any contributions will go towards the continued development of the app, server costs, GOTG projects and potential promos. A new "Kyber Club" will be introduced for anyone wanting to support the app on regular basis, with some perks and benefits for contributors.
