Hex'el Card Deck

The Imperial Game of Strategic Card Placement.

This design brings the hex-cut card game glimpsed in Andor's thrilling Aldhani Heist sequence to your game table! One of our most extensively workshopped games, this deck consists of 36 cards with different combinations of red, blue and white 'planets', which players match up in an effort to score a 'Hoxla' - a full colour conjunction.

Our design for the Hex'el cards recreate most of the details of the original props, with minor modifications to accommodate ease of of play with our rule set. Our Hex'el rules were developed before close-up shots of the cards were available, and were designed for matching three different symbol types. For this reason, we've removed the 'strike-through' from the White or 'Void' symbols to avoid confusion while playing the 3-match colour rules, while keeping the option of playing a 2-match colour version. The arrows on the cards are rendered in black, while the props were revealed to actually be cut-outs!

Hex'el is a really fun strategic card placement game with a fantastic set of rules created by our games lead Mike Corry. It's impossible to know at the moment how close it is to original rules conceived by the Andor team, which remain under wraps, but feedback from playtesters makes us confident this version of the game makes for a fun and engaging experience!

Make Playing Cards does not produced hex-shaped boxes for any of its pay-to-print decks. For this reason, you'll have to get it in a plain box and get a 3D box printed! STLs are included for single colour and multi-colour AMS printing.
