HOLOCOMMUNITY UPDATE﹟2 | MAY 2026

Greetings Sabacc fans!

It's AN-T3 here on Star Wars Day with our latest community update - May the 4th be with you!

The Holocards team is hard at work on the next phase of development. Here's what you can expect over the next few months:

HOLOCARDS UPDATE: HOLODAZE (V. 0.12.0)

The next update for the Holocards App will focus on:

Optimization of the new 3D Sabacc Tables

Improvements and adjustments to the new 3D Sabacc tables, addressing visual glitches, adjustments to the layout, graphic alignment and changes to the size of text and UI elements on the screen.

Adjustments to Sabacc Rules & Rankings

Adjustments to the rules for Idiot's Array in Three Card Spike.

UI Changes

Changes to the app UI and layout for improved user experience, and in anticipation of upcoming new features!

IN DEVELOPMENT

Though not slated for the next release, we have several features in active development:

Contracts - Daily Quests and Player v Player Challenges

Contracts will bring in player progress goals and bonuses to the Holocard Cantina experience. It will also issue 'Bounty Hunter Cards' based on those seen in the trailer for the new Mandalorian & Grogu movie - players will be able to claim rewards for winning matches against other players at the tables!

Hintaro Game

With primary playtesting complete, we are adding the classic Star Wars dice game Hintaro (from the Edge of the Empire roleplaying game) to the line-up of games available on the app.

Pazaak Game

Due to popular demand, we're working on adding this classic for the Knights of the Old Republic game to the app. The first version will be the traditional 1v1 Pazaak mode: future updates will implement Pazu-Pazaak, our 1-6 player version of Pazaak.

TIMELINE

There is no fixed timeline for implementing these features, but check out the Holocards Scanner to get a general idea of where they lie on the horizon!

HOLODEX GAME DEVELOPMENT

In the Holodex, our game design and testing section, development is finished on playing card decks for the following table games:

Balaans

Hex'el

Deadman's Binspo

Rules for these games are available now on the Holodex. In a few weeks, watch out for announcements about Version 1 pay-to-print decks launching through Make Playing Cards. To keep costs down, all of these decks can be bought with plain boxes, but a free STL to print your own deck box will be provided. If you don't have a 3D printer, they will be available to print from selected vendors in the US and Europe.
